Greenwich Beer and Jazz Festival raises the ‘bar’ for 2010 ‐ Old Royal Naval College
Thursday 27th May – Monday 31st May 2010
The 3rd year of the Greenwich Beer and Jazz Festival is back with a bang and some of the best names from the world of Jazz with a few large casks of beer thrown in for good measure! Organisers are very excited with the line up this year which includes acts Fun Lovin’ Criminals, Spandau Ballet’s Tony Hadley with his Swing Band Brand New Heaves, Incognito supported by Omar, and James Taylor Quartet who will be joined by Snowboy and the Latin Section.
But Greenwich Beer and Jazz is not just about great music which is guaranteed….the perfect pint‐sized summer festival now in its 3rd year at the Old Royal Naval College once again will satisfy all the senses. With over 200 real ales, ciders and summer brews from the best of British breweries at the Real Ale Garden and The Cider Orchard, bottled beers and summer cocktails at Bar Carnival along with a Festival Soul Foods area, this really has every ingredient required for a long summer’s day of chilling.
There are also guest appearances from some relatively unknown brewers such as Red Rat Craft Brewery the home of Tony Hadley’s brews including Hadley’s Gold! Pure Gold guaranteed!
‘For the last two years this Festival has gathered pace and audiences have enjoyed lazy summer afternoons on the lawns of King Charles Gardens at the Old Royal Naval College, but this year we wanted to raise the bar on the artists which we have certainly achieved’ said Jon Rogers, Director of the organisers PWR events. ‘We are delighted that we will be playing host to these acts and with all the other support artists to be added we feel sure that this will be the best Festival yet’
Tickets will be on sale from 26th February and bookings for the Greenwich Beer & Jazz Festival can be made online at greenwichbeerandjazz.com by Phone with SEE or Ticketmaster (booking fees apply). Advance booking is highly recommended to avoid disappointment.
(thinking that Fun Lovin' Criminals, beer and sunshine should be a great day!)
